Look's Marketplace

I love Looks, it's unique as a market with unique foods with a full restaurant in the back- it's a bit expensive if you're expecting diner prices but you get quality for your money. EVERYTHING I've had on the menu is flavorful and top-notch. Fresh, premium ingredients all prepared with care. Great beers on-site too. I'd eat here over a fancy restaurant any day.

It's a neat atmosphere and it has an interesting vibe but I just didn't feel the quality matched the price tag on a lot of the foods. I've heard so many people say they love Looks but it's the second time we've gone and I wasn't overly impressed either time. Yes, the food was fine but not fantastic as the price tag would lead you to believe. If you want beer, this is probably the place to go but if you want food, this might not be the best spot. We stood in line for about 25 minutes before we could order and get a table so it's busy if you're going at a standard meal time. I think buying in the market there is a better deal than the restaurant.

I think this place has the biggest onion rings I've ever ate! I wasn't to impressed with the sandwich but I can't complain about it. I wanted something fresh and flavourful but order something very meaty😂. Over all, the sandwich wasn't bad. It's just not what I desired. I'm defently coming back here to try other items on menu. The atmosphere is loud but it does offer seating outside of main area for more calmer environment.

Great place. The market had plenty of wine, cheese, sausage and apparel. The people working were incredibly friendly. Food was pretty good. Kids had hot dogs and I thought they were great, kids didn't like the snap they had. I had a spicy jam smash burger and it was fantastic. The coleslaw was great but the fries were less than average. All in all it was a cool place and well worth the stop.

After trying one of Look’s brews at another restaurant in Mitchell SD, we decided to stop in when we made our way to Sioux Falls on our road trip. It was more upscale than we had expected, and sits next to a golf course. The grocery store: a good selection of some of the better brands you’d find in a typical grocery (like Rao’s) but higher priced. We found calamari steaks in the freezer section that were so good. The market: there is a deli counter, seafood, bakery, and dry aged steaks. The only thing we tried from the counters was an oatmeal raisin cookie that was really good. The restaurant: a full menu of burgers, pizza (flatbreads), salads, and more. Our group ordered a bacon BBQ burger, lobster roll, French dip, and an order of churros. All were good, including the lobster roll which can easily go wrong. It was also reasonably priced. The churros were ok, but liked that they were shareable for the table. The beer: we came for the Dandelion Gnome that we had on tap in Mitchell but were sad to find it wasn’t on tap or canned at the market. Lyon Park that we tried at the restaurant was a good alternative to Dandelion Gnome and we left with a few 4 packs of that. We’d go back for the meat counters or bakery, the beer, and the restaurant but would skip it for groceries.

I have never had a bad meal at Look's. The food is spectacular. The service is always professional. The Atmosphere...it's so unique to the Midwest to have this indoor food court. My only complaint is that I spend way too much money there. I always leave with goodies for home, more spices, a cut of meat, some cheese you can only find at Look's, a pizza, a side... Highly recommended.
